Gridview updating multiple rows

This tutorial and the next one focus on enhancing the row-selection process. As examined in the Master/Detail Using a Selectable Master Grid View with a Details Detail View, we can add a Command Field to the Grid View that includes a Select button. The Gridview displays at the bottom of the form, and initially displays all the data in the SQL table. When I search the table, a single match will display to the form for updating purposes, and multiple matches are displayed in the datagrid.

Rather than using a button, two other user interface elements are commonly used for selection: the radio button and checkbox.

These properties will automatically render Edit, Update and Cancel buttons inside Grid View column.

I am using Template Field’s Item Template and Edit Item Template for providing read only and editing interface of the same column in the Grid View.

We can augment the Grid View so that instead of a Select button, each row contains a radio button or checkbox.

In scenarios where the user can only select one of the Grid View records, the radio button might be preferred over the Select button.
